Proper glove use was re-explained in Spanish to cook from manager. Gloves discarded, hands washed for 20 seconds. Wipe cloths must be kept in sanitizer solution (100 ppm chlorine) and used for wiping down all food contact surfaces. Store all food containers, dishes, food boxes and utensils 6 inches or greater off floor to prevent contamination. Eliminate standing water from clean dish side. Do not store clean dishes on clean dish drain shelf. Inspector: Brady.

Local 12 UAW, 2300 Ashland, inspected Aug. 20. Critical violation pending: Sliced turkey and corned beef at 46-47 degrees in prep top cooler. These foods are potentially hazardous and must be maintained at 45 degrees or less to inhibit the growth of bacteria. No other critical violations pending, none added. Inspector: Dacquisto.

Mr. Philly, 525 East Manhattan, inspected Aug. 12. Critical violations: hair restraints must be worn by all employees handling food; no visors. Cold foods must be kept below 41 degrees. Inspector: Satter.

Ping On, 525 East Manhattan, inspected Aug. 12. Critical: wipe-cloth buckets should be set up with sanitizer. Clean and maintain 2-door and 3-door stainless steel coolers, entire wok line, all floors, walls, and ceilings, steam table. Do not reuse food or egg containers or buckets; use approved food containers for food storage. All hot and cold foods must be kept at proper temperatures. Do not store food on absorbent surfaces but directly in the pans. Store food in proper order in cooler and freezer. All food items and equipment must be stored 6 inches or more off floor. All hand washing must be done at designated sink in the kitchen. Date mark all potentially hazardous foods with 7-day expiration date. Inspector: Satter.

Mi Hacienda, 3302 Glanzman, inspected Aug. 12. Critical violations: label bulk food containers in basement and store all food items 6 inches or more off floor. Store raw eggs below cooked foods and produce. Do not clean grease filters in mop sink. Trash boxes need to be put into recycle bin. Inspector: Mike Brady.

Pizza Hut, 3320 Glendale, inspected Aug. 12. Critical violations: person in charge must know basic food rules. Metal stem thermometer needed to check food temps. Disposable gloves must be available at all times and no selling of ready to eat foods till gloves are on site. Store clean utensils in clean containers. Keep clean dish side of the dish machine free of food, and sanitized. Inspector: Brady.

Don Pablo's, 6040 Knights Inn, inspected Aug. 3. Critical violations. Store sanitizer rags in sanitizer bucket at all times when not in use. Fire-suppression system leaking in walk-in cooler; fix immediately. Mold in pop gun holsters in bar area; clean holsters regularly. Inspector: Sanders.

12:30 p.m. - 2700 block of Monroe. Minivan of Virgil Wright, 45, of Fulton, who was treated at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after his vehicle struck a parked auto.

2:29 p.m. - South Erie and Sunrise. SUV of Shirley Tucker, 54, of Potomac, and auto of Angela Jarouche, 20, of Somerset, who was treated at Medical College of Ohio Hospitals.
