BOWLING GREEN — The completion of three Wood County projects has boosted the assets of the Northwestern Water and Sewer District above $100 million, the district said.

The district's assets have doubled since it was formed in January, 1994, executive director Jerry Greiner said in a news release. The recently finished water projects were done on Bates Road in Perrysburg Township, Emch and Tracy roads in Perrysburg and Lake townships, and Lemoyne Road in Lake Township.

The district also recently finished a sewer project in Lake Township on Owen, Walbridge, and Plumey roads. Also under way are a sanitary sewer project in Liberty Township.

Besides reaching the $100 million mark, the district also recently received an A3 bond rating from Moody's Rating Agency.

“The district's financial size and stability are solid in today's troubled financial times, and the strength in these numbers means favorable borrowing rates and resources to handle most needs,” said Dave Cook, finance director.
