Lanes on Trail to be closed for repair work

10/27/2003

Repairs to pavement damage caused by asphalt trucks will require daytime lane closings this week on the southbound side of the Anthony Wayne Trail between I-75 and Detroit Avenue, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced.

Trucks returning to asphalt plants in Maumee from a repaving project on I-75 during the summer tracked “tack,” an asphalt adhesive, onto the Trail and left deposits of the material at intersections along the way.

The deposits primarily occurred in the center lane, and removing it will require two-lane closings at the affected locations, ODOT said. That could result in long traffic delays during the work hours of 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Weather permitting, the work is scheduled to for completion by Friday.
