Holiday schedule

City offices, Lucas County offices, and the administrative offices of Maumee, Northwood, Oregon, Perrysburg, Rossford, and Sylvania, will be closed Thursday and Friday to celebrate Thanksgiving. Oregon municipal court and Ottawa Hills offices will be closed Thursday only.

State and federal offices will be closed Thursday. Call for Friday hours.

Auto title offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Schools

Toledo and Lucas County public and parochial schools will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, Lourdes College, Davis College, and Owens Community College will have no classes from Wednesday through the weekend. The Medical College of Ohio will have no classes Thursday and Friday.

Mail service

There will be no mail delivery on Thursday, no collection of mail in the city, and no window services at the Main Post Office or any of the classified stations or branches.

Express Mail Service will be available from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bulk Mail Acceptance Unit will be closed.

Public utilities

Toledo Edison office and phone service and Columbia Gas' phone center will be closed Thursday and Friday. Emergency services only will be available.

Businesses

All banks, financial institutions, and banking centers will be closed Thursday, including the Fifth Third Bank Mart locations in Kroger stores and Sky Bank's center in Westfield Shoppingtown Franklin Park.

Shopping centers will be closed on Thursday; most will have extended hours over the weekend.

Libraries

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and branches will be closed from 5:30 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday, reopening on Friday.

Bus service

Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a holiday schedule Thursday and a regular no-school schedule Friday.

Trash pickup

Thursday and Friday trash pickup will be delayed a day in Toledo and outlying areas. In Ottawa Hills, Thursday recycling will be a day early, on Wednesday, and Friday recycling will be on schedule.

Parking

Meter parking downtown will be free on Thursday.
