2/2/2004

Twenty-four Burger King restaurants in the Toledo and Monroe areas are asking people beginning today to buy Original Whopper Value Meals for American troops in Iraq.

The company said Sylvania Mayor Craig Stough will kick off the campaign by purchasing a meal for a soldier at 1 p.m. today at the Burger King on Monroe Street in Sylvania. The meal costs $4.

The program in the Toledo area ends Feb. 29. The meals will be delivered in mid-March, the company said.
