FINDLAY — Three people were treated for their injuries after two multivehicle accidents that shut down I-75 just north of Findlay for three hours late Saturday.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Jacob Fletcher said Janet Kinsman, 52, of North Baltimore was traveling northbound on the interstate when she was hit in the rear by a man driving a Honda Accord about 9:10 p.m.

The driver of the Accord exited the vehicle and ran from the scene, Trooper Fletcher said, adding that authorities are still looking for him. The accident blocked one of the two lanes northbound of the interstate.

Three minutes later, a northbound vehicle driven by Joann Ashmore, 61, of St. Clair Shores, Mich., was struck in the rear by Laura Jindra, 20, of Lyndhurst, Ohio, near the accident scene.

The second accident shut down both lanes of the interstate. One lane opened about 10:45 p.m. and both lanes about 12:30 a.m., Trooper Fletcher said.

Ms. Kinsman, Ms. Ashmore, and Ms. Jindra were taken to Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, where they were treated and released.
