Litchfield, Mich., selects its new city manager

LITCHFIELD, Mich. - City council has offered the vacant city manager's job to Don Hoyt, a business consultant and university professor. Mr. Hoyt was chosen from a group of six finalists.

He replaces Dennis Stark, who resigned in November to become city manager of Charlotte, Mich.

Mr. Hoyt, who will begin his duties in mid-May, teaches technical communications and English at Grambling State University and operates a consulting business that deals in strategic planning and economic development for local governments.
