'The Editors' to host Blade's Pulitzer winners

4/9/2004

The three Blade reporters who won the Pulitzer Prize this week for exposing the atrocities of an elite U.S. military unit in Vietnam discussed their investigation and the series of articles that earned them journalism's highest honor during a taping of The Editors television program.

The reporters - Michael D. Sallah, Mitch Weiss, and Joe Mahr - were questioned about that Army unit, Tiger Force, and The Blade series of articles, "Buried Secrets, Brutal Truths," by Thomas Walton, vice president-editor of The Blade. Also appearing was Andy Morrison, the principal Blade photographer for the series.

The award is The Blade's first Pulitzer Prize.

The Editors will be broadcast at 8:30 tonight on WGTE-TV, Channel 30, and at 12:30 p.m. Sunday on WBGU-TV, Channel 27.
