Perrysburg: New building OK'd at RiverPlace site

4/14/2004

Perrysburg City Council has authorized a new building at RiverPlace Shopping Center and accepted a bid for the city's next sewer separation project.

The council voted recently to allow a new 4,600-square-foot building at RiverPlace on the corner of Eckel Junction Road and State Rt. 25. Half of the building will house a diner, and the other part will likely contain a restaurant or retail business.

Council accepted a bid of $469,531 from Underground Utilities, Inc., a firm in Monroeville, Ohio, for separation of sewers along Walnut Street between Second Street and Indiana Avenue.

A state grant of $262,150 will pay for part of the project.

The remaining funding will come from sewer rate revenue, assessments on property owners, and income tax revenue.
