Tips sought in restaurant break-in

Toledo police are looking for tips about a break-in at Fifi's Restaurant in South Toledo in which thousands of dollars in jewelry were taken.

Burglars broke into the restaurant, 1423 Bernath Pkwy., Feb. 15 or 16 while it was closed. They took several pieces of jewelry that were being stored temporarily at the business, police said.

The items include a Baume Merciere solid gold watch, a Waltham solid gold watch, a Waltham diamond watch with diamond band, quarter-carat diamond stud earrings, a custom-designed gold and diamond Fifi's pen, a gold cut dome ring with precious stone, a diamond dinner ring with three rows of approximately 18 diamonds, and three charms, including a gold poodle, a gold heart with "Kelly" on it, and a gold four-leaf clover.

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call the Crime Stopper program at 419-255-1111. A separate reward is available in addition to Crime Stopper reward money, police said.
