BOWLING GREEN - A Tontogany woman was flown to Toledo Hospital and her three passengers were taken to Wood County Hospital after the car she was driving hit a utility pole about a mile north of here.

Linda Miller, 57, of 104 Main St., Tontogany, was in serious condition last night, suffering from upper-body injuries. Her passengers - Michelle Gillen, 35, of Bowling Green and Jacob Gillen and Kyle Lauck, both 13 and both from North Baltimore - were expected to be released, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol's Walbridge post.

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. yesterday when Ms. Miller drove off the left side of State Rt. 64 south of Bishop Road in Wood County's Plain Township. She told an investigating trooper she did not know how the accident happened.
