HILLSDALE - Hillsdale police have settled a yearlong contract dispute with the city, signing a three-year pact.

City Manager Tim Vagle said under the agreement, police will receive a 3 percent raise retroactive to FY 2003, a 2 percent pay raise in FY 2004, and a 3 percent pay raise in FY 2005.

Meanwhile, officers will have to pay a larger percentage of their medical premiums. Other changes in the new accord affect the officers' prescription and pension plans.
