Could Kirsten Dunst's wandering eye have caused her split with Jake Gyllenhaal?

Weeks before the pair went separate ways, Dunst was going gaga for other guys at the Museum of Modern Art right in front of Kevin Sessums, the writer says in the September Allure.

"You can always see such cute boys at art galleries and museums," she gushes. "It's still fun to flirt with guys."

And when the reporter asked whether Dunst would ever want to have Gyllenhaal's baby, she shrieked in alarm. "I ain't havin' a baby anytime soon. I feel like I want to be a little girl now because I was never allowed to be one."

The Spider-Man 2 star admits that she holds a grudge against her mother, Inez, for starting her out as an actor at the age of 3, and putting her in 70 commercials. "My mom and I are going through a separation right now. It's all about each of us letting the other one go," she says.

You may have missed out on Solange Knowles Smith's star-studded baby shower, but it's not too late to get Beyonce's little sister something for her baby boy. Solange, whose due date is Oct. 11, is registered at Target.com for gifts. The Web site also lists the child's name: Daniel Julez J. Smith.

A rep for Solange claimed that the information on the Web site was incorrect but would neither confirm nor deny whether the 18-year-old is registered at Target. "I can't confirm anything at this moment," said Marcus Harris, a spokesman for Solange's management company, Music World Sanctuary. "It's a very personal issue."

Feeling generous? The Baby Boys' Burping Cloth and Bib Set are still available.

Liz Smith is on vacation.

CALL IT CAMP HILTON

The kids at Timberlake West sleepaway camp in Roscoe, N.Y., got the surprise of the summer Friday when a limo drove up and Paris Hilton popped out.

The platinum-blond heiress arrived to launch Color Wars, the traditional athletic marathon.

Dressed semiconservatively in Dior pink velour pants and lime-green tank top, Hilton "thrilled every young girl with her clothes and every young boy with, well, herself," owner Alice Rosenberg told us. A bonus was Hilton's companion-of-the-week, extreme skateboarder Chad Muska, who snapped away with a digital camera at Hilton as she took questions from the 400 campers. Asked what it was like to be Paris Hilton, Paris Hilton said, "It's so great."

So the "Simple Life" star came just for the children?

"We asked," said Rosenberg. "And paid."

SIDE DISH

The buzz at Dan Klores' annual Hamptons bash was on the media maven's newest documentary, "Ring of Fire," the story of six-time world champion boxer Emile Griffith. Kyle MacLachlan, Liz Roehm, Jeff Zucker, Donnie Deutsch and Lyor Cohen were among the 250 there. . . .

What high-profile journalist and his wife are splitting up? He made his name chronicling the peccadilloes of others, but we hear the cause is his philandering . Perhaps it should be his "attempted philandering." In New York, he's known as "The Strikeout King." . . .

Mariska Hargitay and sometime "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" castmate Matt Salinger, son of author J.D., skipped the massages at the spa at the Spirit nightclub Thursday night to hear Eric Bogosian onstage.
