Whitehouse: Former village building to house business

8/25/2004

The village has finalized the sale of its former municipal building on Providence Street to Steve Saneholtz, who plans to use the building to house a land surveying business.

Mr. Saneholtz purchased the building last week for $250,000. The structure had been vacant for more than a year.

Randy Bukas, village administrator, said officials are pleased the building will be preserved and used for a business with the potential of providing new jobs.

"We're excited about the sale," he said.

The former municipal building, built in 1944 and expanded in 1977, has about 6,000 square feet of space.

The money from the sale will go into the village's general fund.
