A 63-year-old Wood County man was seriously hurt yesterday when his sport utility vehicle was run off I-75 at the I-475 split in Perrysburg by a semi truck, police said.

Elvest Sandlin, 43, of the Dunbridge area, was in serious condition last night in Medical College of Ohio Hospitals.

Mr. Sandlin was southbound traveling in the interstate's passing lane about 4:15 p.m. when a southbound semi towing a black flatbed trailer pulled over to the left lane, causing Mr. Sandlin's vehicle to crash when it was forced off the road, police said.

The semi truck left the scene, police said.
