Waterville: Fire Department gets special delivery

The Waterville Fire Department has received its new $794,900 ladder truck.

"It's a beautiful piece of machinery," village administrator Jay Bahr said.

The truck, a 2003 demonstration model made by Pierce Manufacturing Inc., comes with a two-year warranty and is equipped with a 100-foot ladder. It replaces the township's 1973 ladder truck, which had not worked properly for the past few months.
