Lima to host gathering of motorcycle owners

LIMA, Ohio - BMW motorcycle enthusiasts will gather at the Allen County fairgrounds next summer for their 2005 international rally.

Allen County Fair Manager Jay Begg said he began talking with the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America about bringing the event to Lima in 2001.

While the July 21-24 gathering will not be open to the public, it is expected to inject $500,000 a day into the local economy.
