Teen bicyclist goes through car window

A Perrysburg teenager was hospitalized last night after he rode his bicycle into a parked car and was thrown through the rear window, authorities said.

John Materni, 13, was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where his condition was not available last night. He was riding north in the 100 block of Margaret Place about 6 p.m. when he hit a car owned by Ryan Kelso, Perrysburg police said.

Young Materni was thrown off his bicycle and through the rear window of the Geo Prizm, denting the trunk, Mr. Kelso's wife, Lori, said.
