State patrol to offer free inspections

The Ohio Highway Patrol will offer free voluntary vehicle inspections for Lucas County area residents tomorrow and Thursday.

Highway patrol personnel will check tires, glass, lights, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, emergency brake, exhaust, body condition, operator's license, and registration of vehicles from passenger cars to light-duty pickups. Those that pass inspection will be issued a decal.

Tomorrow's inspections will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Anderson's parking lot in Maumee. Thursday's are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the BP station at Alexis and Jackman roads.

The inspections are the last two of the year.
