Rossford: Fire station site OK'd; building needs approval

10/6/2004

Rossford City Council approved an ordinance recommended by the city plan commission at last week's meeting so the proposed fire station could be built in the "Crossroads of America" area, a site south of I-75 and the Ohio Turnpike.

The plan commission determined a special-use permit was needed to build the station within the planned commercial zoning of Crossroads of America to allow for public uses, according to Rossford Administrator Ed Ciecka.

Mr. Ciecka said the next step for the proposed fire station is to get approval from the city's plan commission at Wednesday's meeting.
