Wauseon land-use changes adopted

10/6/2004

WAUSEON - City Council voted unanimously this week to adopt proposed changes to Wauseon's comprehensive land-use plan.

Changes reflect ongoing goals and objectives, including that the city should try to maintain a balance of residential, commercial, and industrial growth, officials said.

A key amendment involves a land-use district that will allow for the development of a blended neighborhood of homes, stores, and light industry. Developers might be interested in using the mixed-use concept in the Glenwood North area, officials said.

The plan is used as a guide for city officials and developers, and will take effect Nov. 3.
