Sycamore reimburses ambulance trust fund

10/18/2004

UPPER SANDUSKY, Ohio The village of Sycamore last week paid $52,500 to the Wyandot County Ambulance Trust Fund, settling a finding for recovery issued by the Ohio Auditor s Office.

Lynn Yeater, coordinator of the county s Emergency Medical Services, said the county commissioners office received the overdue payment for 2003 ambulance runs.

According to the finding issued by Auditor Betty Montgomery s office, the village is to pay $50 to the trust fund for every EMS run by Sycamore s fire department, once the village has received at least 50 percent of the amount billed.

The state found that the village had 105 such runs in 2003, but it had not paid the amount due to the county.
