FOSTORIA - A Fremont man remained in fair condition yesterday after his car and a tractor-trailer collided late Sunday, the Hancock County sheriff's office said.

Bryson Taylor, 22, of Fremont was driving a 1989 Cadillac east on State Rt. 12 at 10:16 p.m. when his car crossed the center line.

The car struck a westbound 1999 tractor trailer driven by Troy Slauterbeck, 36, of Oak Harbor.

Both vehicles spun, stopping in ditches on both sides of the road. Both drivers freed themselves.

Mr. Taylor was taken by medical helicopter to Medical College of Ohio Hospital. Mr. Slauterbeck declined treatment. Both men had worn their seat belts.

The accident remains under investigation, the sheriff's office said.
