A bucket of concrete is hoisted up to continue construction of the central pylon for the $220 million I-280 bridge over the Maumee River. Work on the pylon, from which stay cables holding up the bridge's main span ultimately will radiate, resumed during September after the Ohio Department of Transportation's approval of a new concrete formula for it. The bridge project, delayed by a construction accident that killed four people in February, is expected to be completed no sooner than by the spring of 2007.
