Sign work to impede traffic on I-75 south

10/23/2004

Substantial delays are likely on southbound I-75 in North Toledo today because of sign installations that will narrow three lanes of traffic to one lane, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced yesterday.

Starting at 6 a.m., the left and center lanes will be closed between Ottawa River Road and I-280 while overhead signs are erected.

The work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists also are reminded that southbound I-280 is scheduled to close between I-75 and Navarre Avenue at 6:30 a.m. today, and will remain closed to through traffic until Dec. 8 in order to accommodate construction of East Toledo approach spans for the new Maumee River bridge.

Northbound I-280 traffic will not be affected until Nov. 6.
