Hancock County to seek emergency storm aid

1/13/2005

FINDLAY - Hancock County commissioners said yesterday they will apply for emergency status to try to help get financial assistance for communities hurt by last week's ice storm.

After meeting with city and county officials, commissioners directed Emergency Management Agency Director Garry Valentine to make application to the state EMA. In particular, they said, they were concerned about the village of Arlington, where the wastewater treatment plant was working at half-capacity because of storm damage.
