Crash sends 2 Michigan teens to hospital

ADRIAN - Two youths remained hospitalized last night, one of them in critical condition, after being injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Lenawee County.

Daniel Gage, Jr. of Adrian was southbound on Ridge Highway at 4:40 p.m. when his pickup collided with an SUV driven by Michael Young, 17, of Tecumseh, who was eastbound on Sutton Road, Michigan State Police troopers said. The vehicles collided at the Ridge-Sutton intersection.

Mr. Young was transported to Toledo Hospital, where he was in fair condition last night, a hospital spokesman said.

Paul Wilson, 17, a passenger in the Young vehicle, was taken by air ambulance to Medical College of Ohio Hospital, where he was in critical condition last night. Another passenger in the Young vehicle, Stephanie Lagore of Britton, Mich., was treated at University of Michigan Hospitals.

The accident remains under investigation.
