Millbury: Village gets county bridge work funds

2/9/2005

When Millbury officials were planning to improve a mile of Main Street to benefit the village and other Wood County residents, the Wood County Engineer's Office decided to help out.

Construction was complete in November, 2003, on Main Street from Ayers Road to the railroad tracks near Maple Street, and Wood County officials recently authorized paying Millbury the $9,000 they agreed to pay to improve the bridge on Main Street within that mile, Clerk-Treasurer Vicki Schwamberger said.

She said the resurfacing project cost $139,808, and the Wood County funds will be deposited into the village's general fund.
