Sandy Peart, left, and Kim Koch, library staff members, are busy shelving about 80,000 materials at the Waterville branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, 800 Michigan Ave., which opened Tuesday. The branch closed in August for a $1.26 million renovation that expanded the library from 7,800 square feet to just under 12,000 square feet. The branch is open Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A formal reopening celebration is scheduled for 1 p.m. March 14.
