Holgate man, 50, injured in Henry County accident

HOLGATE, Ohio - A 50-year-old Holgate man was flown to Medical College of Ohio Hospitals after a car driven by a teenager ran a stop sign and collided with his car in southwestern Henry County.

John Schuette of 216 Railway Ave. was flown from the collision at County Roads H and 14, just north of Holgate in Flatrock Township. The crash happened just before 6 p.m. Monday. He suffered a broken arm, broken ribs, and internal injuries, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Office. No information on his condition was available last night.

Jeremy Keeran, 18, of G-418 County Road 12 was treated at Henry County Hospital. He was cited for stop sign and seatbelt violations.

Both vehicles were severely damaged.

The crash remained under investigation last night.
