SANDUSKY - Four new members, including two from northwest Ohio, have been named to the state's Coastal Resources Advisory Council by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Joining the 19-member board are Rodney Althaus of Ottawa County, Eric Dodrill of Erie County, Vince Urbanski of Lake County, and John Keenan of Ashtabula County.

Mr. Althaus, the owner and operator of a Port Clinton-area dive shop, helps organize an annual Put-In-Bay underwater cleanup. Mr. Dodrill, a civil engineer, is the district director for the Erie County Soil & Water Conservation District.

The advisory council advises the ODNR director and the Ohio Coastal Management Program on ways to protect and encourage environmentally friendly use of the Lake Erie coast and watershed.
