Rossford mulls raise in rec fees

3/15/2005

Rossford's city administration has proposed raising membership fees for most nonresidents who use the municipal recreation center.

City Council gave a first reading last night to an ordinance containing the fee increases but took no other action. Under the ordinance, the annual membership fee for nonresidents who work or own a business in Rossford would rise from $150 to $240.

For other nonresidents, the fees would increase from $225 to $300 for individuals and from $300 to $480 for families. However, the legislation would establish a new, lower fee schedule for Perrysburg Township residents who live in the Rossford school district.

For them, an annual membership would cost $50 for one adult, $75 for two adults, and $30 for one child, with each additional child costing $5 apiece, up to a limit of $40.
