Lake Township trustees OK tax break for truck firm

3/23/2005

The Lake Township trustees last night granted Nagle Holdings a tax abatement for a new trucking terminal.

The Walbridge company will invest $2.25 million in a 13.5-acre property on Moline Martin at Cummings roads. It plans to have a shop, warehouse, and truck parking on the site, and hire 10 new employees over the next three years.

Trustees unanimously approved the seven-year, 100 percent real property abatement. The Wood County commissioners will vote tomorrow.

The company has agreed to make payments to the Penta Career Center and Lake Local schools. Lake will receive $7,306 a year for seven years, beginning in 2007.
