A tractor trailer overturned yesterday in Maumee, causing minor injuries to the driver and closing an I-475 on-ramp for about five hours.

The truck rolled onto its left side about 7:45 a.m. while traveling eastbound on U.S. 24 as the road intersected with I-475. The truck was traveling about 40 mph in a 25 mph area and was veering right when it overturned, Maumee police said.

The driver, Jerry Vaughn, 47, of Romulus, Mich., received minor injuries and was cited for failing to maintain reasonable control of the vehicle.

Officials closed the on-ramp for about five hours while they cleared the scene.
