Energy forum planned for high schoolers

BOWLING GREEN - The Bowling Green League of Women Voters is inviting government and science students from all Wood County high schools to a forum on energy.

Elaine Spreitzer said the group has been trying to plan one presentation a year that focuses on international issues of interest.

The panel discussion, set for 7 p.m. April 14 at Bowling Green State University's Mileti Alumni Center, will feature Albert Calderon, a local inventor and president of Calderon Energy Co.; Reina Calderon, a partner in the clean-coal processing venture; Anthony Palumbo, of BGSU's technology department, who will discuss hybrid vehicles, and Daryl Stockburger, the city's utilities director, who will discuss wind turbines.
