$110,000 grant to Findlay to help firm buy building

FINDLAY - The city has been awarded a $110,000 Ohio Small Cities Community Development Block Grant to help a local plastics company purchase a building it has been leasing.

ECL Plastics, which manufactures parts for the chemical, aerospace, and automotive industries, plans to purchase the 19,028-square-foot building on Jefferson Street - a $430,000 project intended to create 10 jobs and retain 16.

The city of Van Wert also received a $500,000 grant to help VWTC1 develop the 122-acre retail complex to be known as the Towne Center. The grant will be used on site and infrastructure improvements for the $11.1 million project.
