Boy hit with arrow in serious condition

WESTON, Ohio - A Liberty Center youth who was shot in the side with an arrow remained in serious condition yesterday) at Toledo Hospital.

Chad Pultz, 13, was injured while playing at a friend's house on Euler Road around noon Wednesday.

According to Wood County sheriff's reports, 14-year-old David Powell told deputies he was trying to shoot arrows wrapped in paper towels and lit with Tiki torch fuel into a pond and did not see young Pultz when he turned around to shoot the arrow. Deputies said the incident appeared to be accidental.
