NORWALK, Ohio - A Norwalk man was killed when he was thrown from the pickup in which he was a passenger when another vehicle collided with it, police said yesterday.

Ronald Brant, 29, was pronounced dead at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, where he was taken after the collision, which occurred about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Brant was a passenger in an eastbound pickup driven by Tabitha Brant, 25, which was turning into a driveway near their home on Gallup Avenue when a car driven by Catherine Witmer, 20, of Norwalk, collided with it, police said.

The collision caused the pickup to roll over, and Mr. Brant was thrown from the vehicle, which landed on him and caused severe head injuries, police said.

No charges have been filed in connection with the crash.
