Two people were hurt yesterday when an ambulance and a car collided at Arlington Avenue and South Detroit Avenue in South Toledo, police said.

Tryne McCoy, a passenger in the car, was being treated last night in Medical College of Ohio Hospitals, where Linden King, the driver of the car, also was taken. The hospital released no information about their conditions.

The King car was eastbound on Arlington and was turning onto northbound South Detroit about 4:45 p.m. when it was struck by a westbound MedCorp Inc. ambulance, which had the right of way, police said.

The ambulance did not have its siren or emergency lights in operation, police said.

The accident remains under investigation.
