DESHLER, OHIO - A 4-year-old Fostoria area girl was in serious condition last night in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after she was thrown from a car in a Monday afternoon crash near Deshler in Henry County.

Francesca Peace, who was flown to Toledo, was a passenger in a car driven by Tamara McCarley, 33, of Fostoria.

The car went off the right side of Henry County Road H, a half mile east of State Rt. 65 about 4 p.m.

Ms. McCarley overcorrected, lost control, and the car went off the road, hitting a ditch and throwing Francesca out of the car, the sheriff's office said.

Another passenger, Jennifer Peace, 26, also of the Fostoria area in Seneca County, was taken to Henry County Hospital, according to the sheriff's report.
