    • Top children's authors from the Midwest held workshops, demonstrations, story-telling sessions, book signings, hands-on activities, and entertainment throughout the day Saturday at the Maumee branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library's annual Claire's Day.     Nathan Hart, 10, left, and Hunter Elmore, 11, leaf through some books for sale. The event was organized in 2002 by Julie Rubini, of Maumee, as a tribute to her daughter, Claire Lynsey Rubini, who died suddenly at age 10 in July 2000, while attending camp. The day shares the girl's love of books and storytelling with the community.
