Three area residents have been selected as delegates for the 2005 White House Conference on Aging.

Billie Johnson, director of the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Ohio; Samuel Burnett of Toledo, chosen by U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo), and Donelda McWilliams of Defiance, chosen by U.S. Sen. Mike DeWine (R., Ohio), are among 26 delegates who will represent Ohio at the Dec. 11 to 14 conference.

Titled "The Booming Dynamics of Aging: From Awareness to Action," the conference will focus on the interests and needs of seniors and the 78 million baby boomers who will start turning 60 in 2006. The delegates will vote on resolutions and help create strategies to help form national aging policies.
