Adrian man dies a day after car-truck collision

ADRIAN An Adrian man died yesterday in a Toledo hospital a day after being injured in a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 223 and Division Street in Adrian, authorities said.

Wavie Reeves, 77, died at 6:45 a.m. in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said.

Mr. Reeves was northbound on Division about 3 p.m. Wednesday when his car collided with a truck driven by Theodore DeBoer, 47, of Three Rivers, Mich., eastbound on U.S. 223, Michigan State Police troopers said.

Mr. DeBoer failed to stop for a red traffic signal, troopers said.

The accident remains under investigation, troopers said.
