WAUSEON - Fulton County's Family First Council has been awarded grant funds through the Ohio Parents for Drug Free Youth's newly formed Coalition Against Meth.

A nonprofit agency that provides leadership and fosters networks in order to promote safe and drug-free communities throughout the state, the Ohio Parents for Drug Free Youth yesterday said the Family First Council was one of 17 recipients of grant money to help fight against methamphetamine use.

Each recipient receives $2,000 in seed money, training, resources, and expertise for the local efforts.

The Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services is providing the funding.
