Suspect charged after fight at Perrysburg bar

One man was hurt and another was arrested yesterday

as a result of a dispute at the Carriage Inn Bar in Perrysburg,

authorities said.

Michael N. Poole, 21, of 1090 Mulberry St., Perrysburg, initially

was treated in St. Luke s Hospital.

He was transferred to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he was in serious condition yesterday.

Mr. Poole was struck on the head with a pool stick shortly

after midnight during an argument inside the bar at 122 West

South Boundary St., police said.

William L. Zehnpfennig, 40, of Cherry Lane, Waterville, who

was arrested at his home about 11 hours after the incident, was

charged with felonious assault.

Mr. Zehnpfennig was released on his own recognizance pending

arraignment Tuesday in Perrysburg Municipal Court.
