The Diner, 3928 Lagrange, inspected Sept. 8. Critical violations: Observed the use of contact paper on shelves behind counter and on bottom of prep table in kitchen. Contact paper is not an approved surface cover. All surfaces must be smooth, nonabsorbent, and easy to clean. Observed improper storage of raw animal products in coolers and freezers. Follow proper storage procedures provided in handout. Observed various potentially hazardous food in prep cooler and drawers stored at improper temperatures. Do not use prep cooler until proper temperatures can be maintained and verified. Eleven noncritical violations. Inspector: Kerry Cutcher.

J J's Cafe, 3922 Lagrange, inspected Sept. 9. Critical violation: Observed improper storage of raw animal products in freezer. Store all raw animal products according to guidelines in handout provided. Four noncritical violations. Inspector: Cutcher.
