Wauseon: Historical Society to benefit from sale

10/19/2005

The Fulton County Historical Society is accepting orders for the first in a series of glass Christmas ornaments, hand-blown and hand engraved by master craftsmen.

Each ornament exhibits its own unique qualities and is in itself a work of art, said Barbara Berry, director of the historical society. Crystal Traditions of Tiffin Inc. will be creating the glass ornaments for the organization. Each year's special design will be issued in a single limited edition, signed and numbered by the artist.

This year, the Fulton County Historical Museum will be featured on the ornaments. Other prominent Fulton County buildings will adorn ornaments in the coming years.

All orders must be prepaid, and ornaments will be available for pickup before Dec. 5. Contact the historical society to place orders for purchase. An order form is available on the Fulton County Historical Society Web site at www.fultoncountyhs.org.

Proceeds from the fund-raising project will benefit the Fulton County Historical Society.
