Fiery car-truck collision on I-75 kills motorist

BOWLING GREEN A Michigan man was killed yesterday when his car went out of control on I-75 just south of State Rt. 582, struck a tractor-trailer, and caught fire.

Donald Moser, 54, of Lin coln Park, Mich., was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ohio Highway Patrol said he was driving south at high speed on I-75 about 12:35 a.m. when he lost control of his car on the wet pavement, drove into the median, then went airborne, crossed the median, and hit a northbound semi driven by Marvin T. Tucker, 52, of Maxeys, Ga.

Mr. Moser s car caught fire, went off the right side of the road, and broke apart. The engine compartment struck another northbound semi driven by Frank J. Morris, 45, of Xenia, Ohio. Neither Mr. Morris, Mr. Tucker, nor a passenger in the sleeper portion of Mr. Tucker s semi were hurt.
