The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library received a $127,099 library service and technology grant, money that the board of trustees accepted yesterday.
The grant, from the State Library of Ohio, will be used to enhance audio-visual and video-conferencing equipment for public programs at the Heatherdowns and Kent branches. The library has been using video-conference cameras to broadcast programs from the Main Library in downtown Toledo to outlying branches.
The library will support the federal grant with a 25 percent cash match of $42,366.
