PORT CLINTON - Danbury Township police and Ottawa County sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who has exposed himself three times at two Port Clinton-area convenience stores.

Sheriff's Deputy Joe Vidal said the man was caught on videotape showing his genitals to a clerk on Oct. 23 at the Friendship gas station on State Rt. 269, and then again at the same store Oct. 27.

The same day, the man also exposed himself at the Friendship station at State Rt. 53 and State Road in Portage Township.

In each case, Deputy Vidal said, the man approached the counter of the store with a "small item" and a newspaper, which he held in front of himself.

Once at the counter, the man would then pull the newspaper away, exposing himself to the station employee.

The man was described as being in his 40s with blond hair. In each instance, he wore pajama-type pants with the front open and was driving a teal-color minivan.

In images from one of the incidents released by the sheriff's office, he is wearing a gray sweatshirt with the word "Toledo" on the front.

PORT CLINTON - A team of five divers from the Ottawa County sheriff's office recovered four guns and numerous pieces of jewelry - all of them stolen - from a Danbury Township pond on Thursday.

The Ottawa County dive team helped the Erie County sheriff's office recover the items, which were stolen from homes in the Huron, Ohio, area, authorities said.

Erie County Sheriff Terry Lyons said the items, worth at least $2,000, were dumped in the pond at the end of Kirk Road by members of a theft ring who were trying to hide evidence of their crimes from authorities.

The thefts included an armed robbery at a Huron Township home on Tuesday, he said.

Arrested on charges related to the thefts were Jason Adams, 18, of Huron Township; Nicholas Favre, 19, of Castalia, Ohio; Brian Lewis, 19, of Castalia; Steven Schenk, 19, of Sandusky, and a 16-year-old Sandusky boy, Sheriff Lyons said.
